Candidates will be selected based on their performance in several key areas: the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), the Physical Standard Test, Document Verification, and the CBT/OMR-based Written Examination. CISF Fireman Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in applying for the Fireman position in CISF should review the following eligibility criteria:
Age Limit:
- Applicants must be between 18 and 23 years old as of the online application closing date, 30 September 2024.
- Age relaxations are available: SC/ST candidates have a 5-year extension, OBC candidates get a 3-year extension, Ex-servicemen can add 3 years to their age (after deducting military service), and those affected by the 1984 riots receive an extension of 5 years for UR, 8 years for OBC, and 10 years for SC/ST.
Educational Qualification:
- Applicants must have completed their intermediate education or an equivalent course from a recognized board or university, with the qualification obtained by the application closing date.
CISF Fireman Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
The CISF will select candidates for the Fireman position through the following process:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): All applicants will be called to the designated location for the PET. To advance to the Physical Standard Test (PST), candidates must pass the running event and height bar test. Ex-servicemen are exempt from the PET and will directly move on to the PST.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Recruiters will assess candidates based on height (170 cm), chest (80-85 cm), and weight to determine their suitability for the role. Note that PST qualifications may be relaxed for certain candidates, so refer to the official notification for specific details.
- Document Verification: Candidates who pass the PET and PST will be invited for document verification. It is essential to bring all original documents for inspection.
- Written Examination: Those who clear the PET, PST, and document verification will take a 100-mark written test covering General Knowledge, English/Hindi, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and Elementary Mathematics.
Candidates who successfully pass all stages—PET, PST, document verification, and the written exam—will be shortlisted for medical examinations based on their written exam scores.
